The Role of the SolGuruz team
Market Research & Requirement Elicitation
We mapped the full ANSI/AARST SGM-SF-2023 compliance framework, identifying 15+ specific rules that needed to be encoded into the app validation engine, from suction pit void dimensions (0.25 ft) to vent exhaust clearance requirements (10 ft from windows, 4 ft above, 10 ft above grade).
Requirement Analysis & Documentation
We identified three distinct user personas: Field Technician, Project Manager, and Compliance Reviewer - and designed workflows for each. The Enterprise tier required multi-user access, role-based permissions, shared dashboards, and region-specific compliance rules for different US states and Canadian provinces.
UI/UX Design
The canvas builder was designed for field conditions: large touch targets for on-site use with work gloves, one-hand operation support, high-contrast components for outdoor tablet use, and a component library organised by category (Fan, Pipe, Electrical, Sealing, Drainage) for rapid selection during inspections.
Mobile App Development
We built 3 proof-of-concept implementations of the radon builder canvas before selecting the final approach. The core challenge was achieving smooth drag-and-drop with real-time compliance validation, auto-snapping, and dynamic BOM generation from a single Flutter codebase running on both iOS and Android.
QA Testing
We tested across 12+ device configurations, including iPads and Android tablets, because mitigators frequently use tablets on-site. QA covered the full canvas interaction path: component placement, drag-and-drop accuracy, pipe routing, compliance flag generation, and PDF export quality across all devices.
Building Marketing Website
SolGuruz built the RadonSketch marketing website (radonsketch.com), wrote SEO-optimised content targeting radon mitigation professionals in the US and Canada, and managed the complete digital marketing launch strategy.
