STEP 02
Requirements & Scope Finalization
User stories and acceptance criteria in Gherkin format for every feature. Data flow diagrams for rent collection, lease renewal, maintenance dispatch, and financial reporting. Scope locked with explicit carve-outs for Phase 2 features (IoT smart-lock integration, AI rent optimization, predictive maintenance).

UI/UX Design
Figma-based design system covering landlord app, tenant app, and admin panel. Each panel is designed against its user role: landlord for decision speed, tenant for transaction simplicity, and admin for data density. Usability testing with real landlords and tenants across multiple property types before developer handoff.
STEP 04
Architecture & Technical Planning
System design covering role-based access control, rent payment pipeline with PCI-DSS segregation, lease document storage with encryption, real-time analytics aggregation, and multi-property data model. The database schema is designed for audit immutability - every rent payment, lease change, and maintenance action is logged.
STEP 05
Web Development
Frontend development of the admin panel and landlord web interface. Component library built for dense table views, real-time dashboards, and multi-property navigation. Performance-tested for admin teams managing 200+ units without interface degradation.
STEP 06
Mobile App Development
Tenant-side mobile app optimized for two-tap rent payment and fast maintenance ticket submission with photo upload. Offline-first data handling so payment intents queue when connectivity drops. Push notifications for rent reminders, lease renewals, and maintenance status updates.
STEP 07
Backend + API Development
Node.js backend handling authentication, role-based permissions, rent payment processing, maintenance request routing, financial reporting, and notification orchestration. RESTful APIs with Swagger documentation for clear contract-first development across mobile and web clients.

Quality Assurance & Testing
