An Overview: What Is The Healthcare Or Nurse Staffing App?

The healthcare industry is one of the most booming industries across the globe. The healthcare nurse staffing application is designed to overcome the staffing needs of hospitals, clinics, and maternity homes. Our client wanted to streamline the communication between the healthcare company and the nurses via a single medium, for which they approached us to design a healthcare staffing app.

App Challenges

The ShiftSquad staffing app had challenges, such as making the app HIPAA compliant. Another challenge that we faced was data security. We wanted to deliver a cutthroat data security measure to protect the data of healthcare companies and nurses. Post development, our team had to combine their skills and efforts to get quick app approval from the Apple and Google App stores.

UI/UX Design

Design is the core of any mobile application. For the ShiftSquad healthcare staffing application, our UI/UX team had to develop an intuitive design to navigate the nurses and the healthcare companies faster to reach their required app query or functionality. HIPAA Compliance

Implemented HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.) policies such as authentication control, access control, ensured data transmission security, and ensured data backup and storage.

Data Encryption

Encrypted the data both in transit and at rest by using methods like full disk encryption and Encrypted web connection(HTTP protocol with SSL certificate.

oAuth 2.0

oAUTH2.0 helps prevent maliious attacks orchestrated by unauthorized users and makes sure that system is accessed by only authorized and authenticated users.

AWS Firewall

Configured Firewalls on AWS instances and databases to allow limited access.

Source code obfuscation

Implemented Source code obfuscation practices to make the source-code in unreadable format, and so it would be difficult to temper or reverse engineer the released app’s executable file.

Automated Backup and Rollback

Configured cloud instances to take backup at regular intervals and so a particular version can be rolled back when required automatically.
