How Client Revolutionized the Way of Manual Diary Notes to AI-Powered Reflections!
So, the client approached SolGuruz and discussed how he wanted to build a self-reflection application that is backed by AI, making it one of the most trending journaling applications. The basic idea was to help users consistently jot down thoughts, notes, and daily reflections in a systematic manner with the help of AI.
The Problem
The major issue was the lack of "intelligence assistance". Yes, you are right. The client used all the journaling apps and realized that they lack intelligent assistance, which makes writing self-notes a challenge for many. Not only that, there are many people who want to track their daily goals systematically but are not good at writing them, for which an AI-journalizing application could be the rescue.
The Goal
The defined goal was to build an AI companion for those who want to track down their daily notes and reflections with exclusive formatting. Adding to it, the client also wanted journaling to become a consistent habit, tracking their journey over time. Hence, we came up with a text-to-speech feature where the client does’t even need to pen down their daily thoughts; it is the AI doing the heavy lifting!

The Role of the SolGuruz Team
We worked closely with our client to bring the Dream Story app to life. Our primary role was to refine the idea of building an intuitive, AI-powered journaling platform. At SolGuruz, we handled everything from product strategy and UI/UX design to full-stack development and cloud deployment. We focused on delivering a seamless user experience and smart journaling features to support daily reflection, habit-building, and personal productivity.
UI/UX Design
Web Dashboard: The web dashboard was designed for users who enjoy long-form journaling and organized reflection. We created a clean, clutter-free layout that displays journal entries, dream books, and to-dos in a visually attractive way (that vibes with your beautiful dreams). We worked on features like quick entry, search filters, and the 360° journal timeline, which help users browse and revisit past reflections easily.
Mobile Interface: On mobile, our goal was to support quick, in-the-moment journaling. We kept the interface minimal and touch-friendly, making it easy to add a thought, complete a dream task, or respond to AI-generated prompts. The mobile app also includes voice-to-text for hands-free writing, encouraging users to stay consistent with noting down their daily emotions even when super busy!
Shared Dreams: This collaborative space was designed to feel connected with your mates even when maintaining your personal space. Users can browse topic-based dream groups using a card-style layout, join with one tap, and start contributing instantly. Shared Dreams combines clean visuals with social journaling, helping users find inspiration while staying focused on their journey.
Development & Launch
Web Dashboard: We built a clean and fast web version where users can type out their thoughts, organize journals, track dreams, and even download their past entries. Everything syncs in real time, so users always feel in control, no matter how much they’ve written.
Mobile Interface: On the mobile side, we made sure journaling felt effortless, even on a busy day. With voice-to-text, one-tap entries, and smart reminders, users can jot down ideas the moment they pop up. It’s quick, light, and works beautifully anywhere.
Shared Dreams: This is where journaling meets community! We developed a feature where users can join themed dream groups and post together. It’s collaborative, live, and completely synced, irrespective of whether you are joining from your laptop or your phone. It is like getting inspired daily!
